Description
John Barr (d.1767)--possibly the Hans Bar who arrived in Philadelphia in 1739--married Elizabeth Stehman and lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. John Kendig Barr (1828-1918), a grandson, married Hettie Ann Cassel (Kassel?) in 1856 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and moved about 1885 to Lincoln, Nebraska. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, California and elsewhere.
