El niño Sal va con su madre a coger arándanos. Osito acompaña a su madre a comer arándanos en la misma colina. Perdidos entre los arbustos de la colina, Osito acaba junto a la mamá de Sal y Sal junot a la mamá de Osito. Little Bear and the human boy Sal both go out to pick blueberries with their mothers. Both lose their mothers, and each ends up following the other one's mother.

Loosely adapted from The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Ruby and her brothers want to cross a bridge to pick blueberries, but it is guarded by the bully Santiago--the boys manage to trick him, but clever Ruby takes a different tack, builds her own bridge, and turns Santiago into an ally and friend.
